I have become quite the slacker. My writing time seems to have been plagued over the last 6 months, and it has started getting to me. I am working to resurrect that portion of my day.
Over the next few weeks I will be sharing some stories, lessons learned, and God sightings. In the meantime, I wanted to share a few announcements. No, I am not getting engaged/married, no children on the way, no shiny Corvette in the driveway, and no new puppy (yet); however:
1- I will be making a move to Alabama in the coming months. Most likely December or January, maybe November or February, no one really knows. I am thinking northern, southern, eastern, or maybe western Alabama…you could say I am flexible. I may be looking for a parking spot (read below) and a small office space. (If you know any awesome churches/communities down there, let me know. Looking to work with youth!)
2- I am looking to purchase a truck. This will hopefully allow me to purchase a camper, which I may consider living in for the foreseeable future. We will see if that pans out; only a tentative plan for now. What could be better than a house that has wheels?
3- I was blessed with a job that allows me to meet new people each week, write (technical writing is slightly less enjoyable than story telling, but it is enjoyable nonetheless), travel some, and learn (A LOT) daily. This new position is the reason for the above points.
4- I am looking for some good reads for this fall. I am currently reading The Reason for God by Tim Keller, and The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis. Shoot me some recommendations!
5- If we are Facebook friends, it means we are either real life friends, or I care about you like I care about my real life friends. I hope you are doing well! If you want to get together in the next few months, send me a message! I have a porch, and I drink coffee, and I am generally looking for good conversation. I also like sitting by fires (only condition being that the fire not be on my porch (lanterns acceptable)).
That is all I have for now. I love you guys. And God loves you guys. And that’s the way it should be. Be praying for me. I will do the same for all of you. Be looking for some stories over the next few weeks. Have an awesome week; use your platform, circumstances, and resources, for God’s glory. Look for opportunities. They are surely there. Peace.
